I didn't expect a bunch of dwarfs to clap at me with their cymbals, and white horses to dance in the snow with silver ribbons on their legs. Still, I did expect some kind of a homecoming.

I wonder how accurate this novel is, but I do like the silent humour in the F56. I think I'd be stunned if I was received by dancing and clapping dwarves. Here's my Friday post and I hope you have a good weekend :)

Good choice for your Friday 56. I'm wondering who is talking in this excerpt. A soldier? A general? Lincoln? The vision of dwarfs with cymbals and dancing horses made me smile.
Here's the link to my Friday post: PICTURING PERFECT.

Juli, I thought it odd, too. It's supposed to be Lincoln speaking. I had to look up Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It was actually first released in 1812, so it's possible Lincoln would be familiar with this story.

Thanks for stopping by, everyone. Hope you have a great week.
